In Search of Lost Time 2-3-22

I made a Facebook post the other day that indicated I will read Marcel Proust’s In Search of Lost Time over the summer. Based on the comments, I realized I need to start sooner, especially since I want to complete it by year’s end. I also just discovered there are seven volumes, recently translated and published by Penguin. Oddly, I thought there were only six because the first six are in a box set and the cover design is the same for each volume, but the background color is different for each volume. The seventh volume, which is part of the series and published by Penguin, has a completely different design, which seems odd to me.

There are 331 days until the end of the year, so I need to average 11.63 pages per day to read all 3850 pages. I believer I can accomplish this even with my other readings, writings, and work.

I also decided to keep a blog of this reading journey, which was suggested by someone in a comment to my Facebook post. I don’t know what the blog will be about, and I don’t know how often I will make a post, but I will be posting about my journey through In Search of Lost Time.
