Wine Intro is my stop site for information about wine.
I found this very detailed glossary of wines at Wine-Searcher, http://www.wine-searcher.com/grape-varieties.lml.
Decanter has good information about wine:
- For information about grapes, go here: http://www.decanter.com/wine-learning/glossary/grapes/a.
- For wine terms, go here: http://www.decanter.com/wine-learning/glossary/wine-terms/0-9.
The Wine Cave also has good glossary of descriptive terms, like “acidic,” “jammy,” and “tannic”: The Wine Cave Descriptive Terms.
I just found this on the last day of June 2010: http://www.wineloverspage.com/lexicon/. It has definitions and pronunciations.
Here’s another glossary: Rack Wine wine glossary.
Joe Czerwinski from The Wine Enthusiast recently pointed me to this site: The Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s online buying guide.
Snooth.com has so much information about so many wines, but sometimes the ratings it lists from other sources is incorrect.
I recently found this fun and insifghtful blog: http://brokewino.com/ (sacrilegious wine talk).
Bacchus and Beery Wine Blog. I am particularly fond of the succinct Wine Review page, especially the right column where you can search by rating, grape, or wine type, such as red or dessert.
